hepburn community wind farm
Located at Leonards Hill, 10 km south of Daylesford in Victoria, the farm consists of two REpower MM82 turbines with a total output of 4.1 MW. The farm is estimated to produce 12,200 MWh of renewable energy annually, equivalent to the consumption of 2300 homes, more than the number of homes in Daylesford.
Construction commenced following the official ground-breaking ceremony on 8 October 2010. The first export of electricity took place on 22 June 2011 and on 29 July operational control of the wind farm was transferred from REpower to Hepburn Wind.
The project timeline provides more details on milestones in the development of the project.
